Land Acquisition Consultant
This position is responsible for identifying land acquisition opportunities, and due diligence. Required to work with local government agencies and for promoting positive/effective relationships with land sellers and the brokerage community.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with acquisitions to research and identify target areas of interest.
- Work with title companies, city agencies, and in-house data base to access ownership and base information for properties.
- Catalogs Sphere of Influence Maps, Urban Service Boundary Maps, General Plans, Zoning Maps for all City and Counties within the Associate's assigned region.
- Contact local agencies to acquire entitlement (general plan/zoning/facility) information to be used by acquisition opportunities.
- Assist acquisitions to prepare preliminary pro-forma economic analyses to justify acquisition opportunities
- Gather, analyze and interpret competitive market data.
- Understand governmental processes necessary to entitle property.
- Maintain contact with landowners/real estate brokers/municipal agencies.
- Maintain files and databases and prepare reports related to land acquisition
- Identifies and develops relationships with channel partners:
- Real Estate Brokers
- Land Use Professionals
- Title Companies
- Developers/Builders
- Affiliations with community organizations
- Performs pre-acquisition due diligence
- Prepare abstracts documents and reports and assembles information for others to analyze.
Qualifications:
- Trec license
- 2-5 years of experience on Land Development projects or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in teams
- Client communication/management, oversight of all ongoing projects.
- Applicants should have organizational skills and be detail oriented
- Excellent client service attitude
- Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
